Foley Alabama
We enjoyed some much needed quiet and rest after a super
busy time in Florida. During our stay in Alabama we gorged ourselves twice at
an awesome southern restaurant called Lambert’s. There the food is served “pass
around style”. They have servers walking
around the restaurant with big pots of steaming southern food, while yelling
out what’s in the pot. If you want some
of it you simply hold up your plate. This is in addition to what ever you
already order. But the best part of
Lambert’s are their rolls which are served via an over hand throw. If you are not the best at catching and it
happens to roll on the floor they will just chuck you another. And the highlight is that if you ask your
server to pitch one at your husband’s head, they will actually have the gull to
do it. So we left Alabama with our
tummies full (a bit over full, truth be told) and memories full of laughter
made.

Alabama Gulf Shores |
The gulf shores beach of Alabama has surprisingly white
powdery sand and crystal clear water (actually, many compare it to Hawaii
water) but the week that we were there was just to cold to really enjoy it
much. We went on a short walk on the
beach, but, the kids spent most of their down time in the Jacuzzi.

We also celebrated Valentines Day with a sugar high provided
from a massive recess piece heart candy. Probably not the best idea when having
a 4-hour drive ahead of us but nothing a little I-pad time couldn’t sooth.
