Fort Myers, and Tampa Florida

Fort Myers Florida
By Ally

Most of our time we spent at the beach or doing school.

Identifying Rocks
We researched the best place to go shelling in Florida and Sanibel Island came up. It happened that Sanibel was near us, so on Thursday, after classes, we took a forty-five minute drive to the little island. When we got there my mom told Collin to lock the doors. She realized just as he was shutting the last door that her keys were still inside the car. We were stuck on the island, but we werent complaining about being stranded in such a gorgeous place.  Mom called AAA and while they made their way to us we walked along the beach. We were surprised by what we found: Cockle, Cerith, Conch, Coquina, Paper fig, Kitten’s Paw, Murex, Olive, Scallop, Banded Tulip, and other different kinds of shells scattered all over the place. Instead of the beach being made up of sand, it was literally completely made up of shells. This little Island is known to be the best shelling location in all of North America!!

While we were there, the little kids found a small octopus and numerous amounts of starfish.

All of our "loot "

That night we went to a restaurant called Steak N Shake. Their prices were very low and their food was good! Especially their shakes. :) Since we had such a great time we took Dad again the next day to Sanibel Island. He had a wonderful time looking at all the wildlife and laughing at my mom being memorized by all the shells.
At Naples Restaurant
We also made a day trip to Naples Florida which is only about 30 minutes from Fort Myers.  Naples is known for its up scale restaurants and stores as well as its beautiful beach. We enjoyed a nice lunch and walked around the beach for a short time. The beach and streets were super crowded, due to all the snow birds that were in town.

Catching up with the Hall Family

Hall and Bennion Kids
This week we participated in a "Full Time Families Rally "  It is  where a bunch of families that RV full time get together and do fun things together,  like go on field trips and play games. We met up with the Hall family who inspired us to "go RVing" full time  back in Arroyo Grande 8 months ago. It was fun being able to get together with them and catch up on what our families were up to.
A bird from the zoo landed on Lacey's head
Collin’s birthday was on February 5th, and to celebrate we went to Busch Gardens Amusement Park and Zoo. He went on a few crazy rides with Shelby, Dad and I, like Cheetah Hunt, Sheikra, Montu, and Kumba. We found out that if you paid full price for a regular ticket you could trade it in  for a yearly pass for no extra fee. So on Tuesday we went again and there were zero lines since it was a rainy day. We got rained on a little but it was still VERY fun.

Thursday was Collins real birthday, so my Mom  made an ice-cream cake and  we ate it with the Hall family.
Winter the Dolphin !
On Friday the "Full Time Family Rally" held a field trip to Clearwater Marine Aquarium where we got to see the real Winter and Hope dolphins from the movie Dolphin Tale. Winter made cute whistling noises to us and laid on her floating mat. Hope was really active and swam around fast. After the aquarium we walked on the Clearwater beach with the Halls and got hot chocolate.
